I’m really excited to launch my first FREE web part in my new freeware section of the site. The Microsoft Virtual Earth Web Part is something I wrote a while back, and it has been of great use to me. Some of the things I’ve used the map web part for were to plot office locations, recommended restaurants, recommended hotels, and many other good applications. The map web part conveniently reads its addresses from a SharePoint list, which is programmatically generated when you drop the web part onto the page. Plus, the map web part is open source, so feel free to customize it as you see fit.
